BENGALURU — February 20, 2026 — To mark the World Day of Social Justice, a collaborative advocacy program was held today at Donkan Field, Shankar Nag Circle, highlighting the critical need for equitable treatment and systemic support for the labor force.

The event was jointly organized by the District Legal Services Authority, Democracy Warrior, Yuvajana Mahila Mattu Makkala Spandana Seva Trust, and the Dispute Resolution Forum. The initiative focused on the pillars of social equity, emphasizing the rights of civic workers, the necessity of dignified living conditions, and the expansion of social security frameworks.

Advancing Equality and Recognition

The program brought together labor union representatives, social activists, and local residents to honor the essential contributions of civic workers. Keynote speakers addressed the gap between policy and practice, advocating for more robust recognition of the manual labor that sustains urban infrastructure.
