Bengaluru, March 2: Kishore Joseph, Founder, Colorothon & Director, Breathe Entertainment was awarded ‘Pride of Namma Bengaluru’ Award for 2021 for his outstanding contribution in the field of Art, Craft & Culture, by Swarna Bharat Foundation. The award was presented by Justice Santosh Hegde, Former Judge of Supreme Court and chief of Lokayukta Karnataka, at the awards ceremony held at Bharat Scouts & Guides HQ Office on March 2.
Breathe Entertainment are organisers of COLOROTHON – Draw Your Imagination, India’s largest community drawing & painting Festival for diversified age- group of 3-90 years, which has attracted over 1,40,000 collective participants from across the country over 13 seasons from 2014-2021, the latest of which was held online, while the preceding editions were held offline in various prominent cities of India.
The Swarna Bharat Foundation honours people who have contributed in various fields like art and culture, media, artists, social media experts, politicians and professionals from different varied industries and brings them together on a single platform to share their best practices and success stories with the participants.
Expressing his gratitude to Swachh Bharat Foundation for the award, Kishore Joseph said it was actually a tribute to all the young and old participants in his show, and especially thanked KidsChaupal who stepped in and offered to host the latest 13th season of Colorothon which was held online due to the pandemic, and as it transpired, had a terrific opening with over 40,000 participants from across the country, the result of which, he said, will be announced on March 7.
Incidentally, Kishore Joseph is a multiple world-record holder for organising Colorothon, in addition to many other community awareness campaigns with citizen participation.
“Our vision is to see Indians from all over the country take part in painting on a day which will be celebrated as Colorothon Day,” he signs off.
