Bangalore, India – April 16, 2025 – WS Audiology (WSA), a global leader in hearing healthcare, today announced the inauguration of its expanded operations in India with a state-of-the-art commercial and production hub in Bangalore. Operating as WS Audiology India, this significant investment underscores WSA’s long-term dedication to enhancing hearing health accessibility across the nation.

The new facility in Bangalore signifies WSA’s strong belief in India’s increasing prominence within the global hearing care market. With the World Health Organization estimating that 6.3% of India’s population experiences significant hearing loss, WSA is reinforcing its commitment to its “Triple A” approach – Awareness, Affordability, and Accessibility – to make effective hearing care more readily available.

Fueling Growth and Elevating Service

“India has consistently been one of our fastest-growing markets in the Asia Pacific region, and we are immensely proud of the dedication and achievements of our teams here,” stated Avinash Pawar, Country Manager, WS Audiology India. “Starting with a small team and limited reach, we have strategically expanded our presence with offices in Delhi, Hyderabad, and now this significant hub in Bangalore, alongside our successful digital platform, Hear.com. Over the past few years, we have positively impacted the lives of thousands of individuals across the country.”

Mr. Pawar further added, “The increasing demand for our innovative hearing solutions has necessitated this expansion. This new, larger office will enable us to streamline our services, strengthen our operational efficiency and customer support, and better address the evolving needs of the Indian market in the years to come.”

WSA India also remains a key partner in public sector initiatives, actively supplying affordable hearing aids through government tenders. Furthermore, the company actively engages in corporate social responsibility programs aimed at raising awareness about hearing loss and donating hearing aids to underserved communities.

India: A Strategic Pillar for Global Advancement

India’s strategic importance in WSA’s global vision was highlighted by the presence of both the Danish embassy in India and WSA regional leadership at the opening ceremony.

His Excellency Rasmus Abildgaard Kristensen, Ambassador of Denmark to India, commented, “WS Audiology’s expansion in India is a powerful testament to the country’s growing significance in the global HealthTech landscape. We are proud to see a Danish-rooted company like WS Audiology deepen its commitment to India by generating high-value employment opportunities and improving access to world-class hearing care nationwide. This milestone reflects the robust health innovation partnership between Denmark and India, driven by a shared commitment to accessible and inclusive healthcare for all.”

Olivier Chupin, Regional President for Asia Pacific at WS Audiology, reiterated the company’s enduring commitment to India and its people. “We are dedicated to continuous investment in India – not only in infrastructure but also in our people, strategic partnerships, and the immense possibilities this market holds for bringing Wonderful Sound to All. India is a key driver of our growth in the APAC region, and this new office underscores our long-term confidence in the country.”

The new Bangalore facility will be instrumental in bolstering WSA’s operations in India. Currently housing over 200 professionals across Production, Sales, Marketing, and Operations, the expansive hub is designed for scalability to meet the increasing demand for hearing care professionals and solutions across the country, ultimately empowering teams to serve customers with greater efficiency and effectiveness.
