Yamaha Expands Green Footprint in Greater Noida - thisweekindia

New Delhi, India – Yamaha Motor India has announced plans to significantly increase its green initiatives in Greater Noida. In partnership with the Forest Division Gautam Budha Nagar, the company will plant and maintain 21,000 trees across 6,000 square meters of land at the Wetland Buffer Zone 2. This project is part of Yamaha’s commitment to environmental sustainability and aligns with its goal of achieving carbon neutrality.

The initiative involves a four-year contract with the Forest Division, covering both plantation and subsequent maintenance. This expansion builds upon Yamaha’s successful Miyawaki forest project in Noida, which resulted in a dense, thriving forest within just two years.

Eishin Chihana, Chairman of Yamaha Motor India Group of Companies, emphasized the company’s dedication to environmental conservation. He stated, “Our recent Miyawaki forest initiative underscores our commitment to enhancing green cover and contributing to the conservation of natural ecosystems. This initiative is a testament to our dedication to building a greener, more sustainable future.”

Yamaha’s efforts not only contribute to a healthier environment but also demonstrate its commitment to corporate social responsibility. By planting trees and promoting sustainable practices, the company is helping to create a positive impact on the local community and the planet.
