September 6, 2021: IMC Ladies’ Wing is inviting entries for its 28th ‘Jankidevi Bajaj Puraskar Awards’ for women COVID warriors. The accolade recognises, promotes, supports and honours women entrepreneurs working towards improve living conditions in rural India. The award is named after Smt. Jankidevi Bajaj, for all her pioneering work in the area of rural development.
IMC-Ladies’ Wing, every year, felicitates and acknowledges the contribution of an Indian woman entrepreneur who has contributed to the field of rural business development. However, in view of the unprecedented pandemic, the wing has decided to dedicate the 28th IMC-Ladies’ Wing Jankidevi Bajaj Puraskar 2021 to an Indian woman who has worked towards the betterment of the people residing in rural India and 2-3 tier cities during the COVID- 19 pandemic as a COVID WARRIOR.
The Puraskar will recognise women who have surged beyond the ordinary with their selfless work during the nation’s fight against the pandemic. Putting their own lives at risk with selfless determination for the sake of saving lives of others, they truly are the heroes in these challenging times.
