Bangalore, August 8, 2024 – Toyota Technical Training Institute (TTTI) successfully concluded its 15th batch convocation, marking the completion of comprehensive skill training in Global Manufacturing Practices for 58 regular students and 156 Toyota Kaushalya course students from rural Karnataka. The ceremony recognized the holistic development of knowledge, skill, body, and attitude achieved by the graduates.

Esteemed Chief Guest, His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji, graced the occasion, bestowing academic honors upon the students. TKM Management, representatives from Toyota Group Companies, industry bodies, and international Toyota affiliates were also present to celebrate the milestone and foster knowledge sharing.

Since its inception in 2007, TTTI has focused on transforming rural youth into skilled manpower, achieving a 100% employment rate with job placements across India and overseas. The recently launched ‘Toyota Kaushalya’ program offers a unique ‘Learn and Earn’ approach, combining theoretical learning with on-the-job training. TTTI’s association with the Japan India Institute for Manufacturing (JIM) helps inculcate Japanese-style manufacturing practices, aligning with the Government of India’s ‘Skill India’ Mission.

TTTI promotes inclusivity by offering free training to economically challenged students. The institute’s residential training program ensures holistic development, making it a coveted learning institute. With over 1,020 graduates and 810 current students, TTTI provides training in trades such as Vehicle Assembly, Welding, Painting, and Mechatronics.

Chief Guest His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji praised TTTI’s commitment to empowering rural youth and congratulated the graduates on their achievements.

Mr. G. Shankara, Executive Vice President of Toyota Kirloskar Motor, emphasized Toyota’s commitment to transforming rural youth into world-class technicians. He highlighted the successful placements of 214 graduates and Toyota’s efforts in developing Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) across Karnataka.

Graduates received multiple certifications, including the National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC), ASDC Certificate, JIM, and Toyota certificates. Students from TTTI have excelled in prestigious competitions like India Skills and World Skills, with recent wins in Additive Manufacturing, Mechatronics, and Manufacturing Team Challenge (MTC).

With this convocation, TTTI celebrates the success of its graduates, representing the true potential of skilled youth in India. Their achievements resonate with Toyota’s commitment to fostering a talented and skilled workforce, contributing to the nation’s progress and development.
