BENGALURU | February 21, 2026 – Prakramika Vocational Institute (PVI) hosted its Third Convocation for its India batch at Seshadripuram First Grade College, Yelahanka. The event was a vibrant celebration of dignity, real-world readiness, and the remarkable outcomes achieved by neurodivergent learners. Bringing together families, educators, and industry leaders, the morning featured a formal graduation ceremony for students completing one-year and two-year programs, alongside the rollout of a significant new resource for the inclusive education sector.

The Launch of “Beyond Labels”

A defining highlight of the convocation was the unveiling of “Beyond Labels – A Reference Guide for Special Schools.” Described as a “mega dream project,” this practical, structured resource is designed to support special educators and inclusive classrooms in navigating the complexities of neurodiversity.

The book was co-authored by a distinguished team, including Dr. Gayatri Narasimhan, Mrs. Akshaya Lalith Soundar, Ms. Akhila Lakshminarasimhan, Dr. Shobha Ramesh, Mrs. Pushpa Nari, Ms. Franceisca Geeta Souza, Mrs. Nagaarthi Kalyanaraman, and Ms. Chandan P. Mahajani. Dr. Gayatri Narasimhan, Founder Director of PVI, detailed the collaborative journey of the book, emphasizing its potential to transform the neurodivergent community’s educational landscape.

The formal launch took place in the presence of Mr. Das Suryawanshi, State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Government of Karnataka, who served as the Chief Guest. Other distinguished guests included:

  • Dr. Brinda Venkatraman, Vice-Principal and HOD of Physiology at Indira Medical College & Hospital.
  • Mr. Ashok W.D., Permanent Trustee of Seshadripuram Education Trust.
  • Ms. Pushpa Preeya, Nari Shakthi Puraskar awardee and renowned scribe.
  • Mrs. Padma Ramani, Veteran Special Educator and PVI Advisory Board Member.

A Holistic Approach to Inclusion

Since its inception in 2015, PVI has pioneered a model that blends certified online skill development with robust learner support and career pathways. The convocation reflected this holistic spirit, moving beyond traditional ceremony to include wellness and mindfulness. Ms. Chandan P. Mahajani led a Sound Meditation for Clarity, while Mrs. Alamelu Harish conducted an energizing Brain Gym session to demonstrate how movement improves cognitive focus.

The event also featured a powerful segment titled “Parenting with Purpose” by Ms. Smrithy Rajesh, who offered families practical insights on nurturing independence and sustaining progress beyond the classroom.

Bridging the Gap: From Skills to Livelihood

Reinforcing PVI’s commitment to employment, a panel discussion titled “Empowering Ability” explored the synergy between talent developers and inclusive employers. Moderated by Ms. Rashmi Sood Anand, the panel featured Ms. Laharee (Atypical Advantage) and Ms. Archana G.S. (SAP Labs India). The dialogue centered on workplace design and long-term career enablement for neurodivergent individuals.

This commitment to tangible outcomes was further evidenced by a post-ceremony inclusive job fair supported by Atypical Advantage and the AssisTech Foundation, providing graduates with immediate access to professional opportunities.

A Shared Responsibility

The ceremony concluded with the PVI Pledge for Inclusion, a collective call to action. A video voiced by the entire PVI family invited participants to view inclusion not as an individual act, but as a shared societal responsibility.

As PVI continues to expand its reach—now engaging with the Indian diaspora in the United States—it remains dedicated to its vision of a world where every learner is empowered to move “Beyond Labels” toward a life of purpose and contribution.
