The Tumkur facility consolidates advanced research labs, testing infrastructure, digital engineering, and data analytics under one roof. Designed to accelerate global product development and customer-centric innovation, this unified ecosystem supports next-generation filtration solutions across mobility, industrial applications, and clean air and water purification. By leveraging India’s robust engineering talent, the center will drive faster time-to-market and foster deeper collaboration with global customers.

In alignment with MANN+HUMMEL’s sustainability-first philosophy, the Tumkur facility will focus on developing energy-efficient filtration systems, minimizing lifecycle emissions, and pioneering circular economy solutions through eco-friendly product designs and recycled materials. The center is also dedicated to tackling critical environmental issues, including air quality degradation, industrial emissions, and water purification.
Expanding its industrial footprint further, MANN+HUMMEL also announced plans to invest in a brand-new manufacturing facility in Pune, one of India’s fastest-growing industrial zones. This upcoming state-of-the-art site will feature a fully integrated manufacturing setup for advanced filtration solutions, serving new and existing clients across Passenger Cars, Heavy-Duty (On-Road and Off-Road), Manufacturing, and Industrial segments.
Financial and Employment Impact
The combined investment for the Tumkur Global Technology & Innovation Center and the upcoming Pune facility is projected to exceed INR 100 crores, underscores the company’s long-term dedication to the Indian market. MANN+HUMMEL currently employs approximately 1,250 professionals across India and expects to create an additional 300 to 400 jobs over the next 12 months, significantly boosting the local workforce.

With existing manufacturing plants in Tumkur (Southern India) and Bawal (Northern India), alongside its corporate presence in Bengaluru, the addition of the Pune facility (Western India) solidifies a powerful pan-India footprint.
