BENGALURU, INDIA August 12, 2026 — The official logo of World Textile India (WTI) 2026 was formally unveiled today, marking the official countdown to one of the nation’s premier international platforms for the textile and apparel sectors. The inaugural chapter of this grand trade show will take place from October 1 to October 4, 2026, at the Karnataka Trade Promotion Organisation (KTPO) in Whitefield, Bengaluru.
World Textile India 2026 is set to unite a diverse global spectrum of textile manufacturers, apparel exporters, fashion designers, retail brands, entrepreneurs, corporate leaders, and international trade delegations under a single collaborative roof.
Driving Innovation, Exports, and Global Integration
Organised by the Federation of Industries Research and Development, with its partner entity Bharat Udyam Seva Kendra coordinating the initiative, World Textile India is backed by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, and the Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC).
The unveiling of the logo symbolizes a shared strategic vision to elevate Indian textiles on the world stage while generating tangible avenues for trade, cross-border investment, and technological innovation. Designed as an integrated business environment rather than a conventional exhibition, WTI 2026 provides participant businesses with direct avenues for networking, market access, and international growth across the entire textile value chain.
Bengaluru was selected to host the premier chapter due to its stature as South India’s premier economic and technological hub. The city’s mature industrial ecosystem—spanning advanced manufacturing, technology, entrepreneurship, and international trade—provides an optimal backdrop for Indian textile enterprises to engage with global buyers and key industry decision-makers.
Global Reach and Multi-Country Footprint
The four-day international exposition is expected to host representatives, delegations, and trade organizations from approximately 30 countries. Key international attractions and pavilions will feature leading global brands and industry representatives from major markets, including:
- Canada
- South Korea
- Japan
- Vietnam
World Textile India is envisioned as an ongoing global movement rather than a singular event. Selected domestic entrepreneurs, manufacturers, and brands participating in the Bengaluru expo will be given opportunities to showcase their products at subsequent international editions scheduled across the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Malaysia, and Canada throughout 2026 and 2027.

Bengaluru, with its strong entrepreneurial, technological, and industrial ecosystem, is an ideal city to host the first chapter of this international platform. Karnataka has always encouraged innovation, enterprise, and investment, and we welcome initiatives that create new avenues for our textile entrepreneurs, manufacturers, designers, and exporters. I am confident that World Textile India will strengthen business partnerships, encourage international trade, and contribute to the growth and global visibility of India’s textile industry.”

“World Textile India has been envisioned as a platform that connects Indian textile businesses with the world. The Bengaluru chapter is the beginning of a larger journey to create sustained opportunities for entrepreneurs, exporters, designers, and brands to access international markets. With participation from around 30 countries, WTI will provide an environment where businesses can connect, collaborate, and explore new possibilities for growth. Our objective is to make Indian textile enterprises more globally competitive and create a strong ecosystem for international partnerships.”
Underlining the economic impact, Dr. Vempalli Amanulla, National Vice Chairman – Trade & Facilitation, added:
“Trade facilitation is at the heart of World Textile India. The textile industry has enormous potential to expand its international footprint, and WTI will provide entrepreneurs with direct access to international brands, buyers, and business networks.
