Strengthening its presence in the city with a premium entertainment destination at Brigade Cornerstone Utopia.
Bengaluru, 28 August 2026: PVR INOX Limited has inaugurated a new six-screen cinema with a total seating capacity of 949 at Brigade Cornerstone Utopia on Varthur Road, near Whitefield. This launch marks the company’s 28th property in Bengaluru, bringing its contemporary cinematic experience to one of the city’s fastest-evolving urban corridors.
Situated within Arcadia at Brigade Cornerstone Utopia, the cinema is integrated into a major mixed-use residential and lifestyle development. It is strategically positioned to serve both the immediate township and the wider Whitefield–Varthur Road catchment area. As new residential communities and commercial hubs reshape this corridor, the property is designed to serve as a natural entertainment anchor, seamlessly blending film, food, and social engagement into a single destination.
The cinema opened with one of the year’s most anticipated releases, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, starring Yash, giving local audiences an opportunity to experience blockbuster entertainment in a brand-new setting.
Equipped with advanced cinematic technology across all six screens, the property features all-laser projection, Dolby 7.1 surround sound, and Next-Gen 3D capabilities. Additionally, two auditoriums are outfitted with DTSX immersive sound to deliver an enhanced acoustic experience for major releases. The seating arrangement caters to varying guest preferences with options including Celebrity Recliners and Lounger Seats for elevated comfort. The interior design emphasizes a hospitality-led approach, featuring contemporary aesthetics and refined detailing from arrival through to the screening rooms.
A key highlight of the new property is the introduction of PVR INOX’s Cinema Food Court concept, which places food, beverage, and hospitality at the center of the outing. Designed as a communal space for guests to meet, dine, and unwind, the food court adds a distinct social dimension to the traditional moviegoing trip.
Speaking on the expansion, Mr. Ajay Bijli, Managing Director, PVR INOX Limited, said, “Bengaluru has always been an important market for PVR INOX, and its continued evolution makes it one of the most exciting cities for entertainment and lifestyle experiences. The Whitefield region reflects the new energy of the city, where ambitious residential communities, workplaces, retail, and leisure converge. Our 28th cinema in Bengaluru strengthens our presence in this high-growth corridor, bringing high-quality entertainment closer to home.”
Adding to this, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Bijli, Executive Director, PVR INOX Limited, noted, “A cinema is more than a place to watch a film—it is a destination where people come together and create shared memories. At Brigade Cornerstone Utopia, we have designed a property reflecting this broader vision, combining advanced projection and sound, premium seating, and our new Cinema Food Court concept to make the experience seamless and engaging.”
This launch underscores PVR INOX’s strategic focus on high-growth urban markets. As audience expectations shift toward complete leisure experiences, the company continues to evolve its cinema environments through a deliberate blend of cutting-edge technology, comfort, and hospitality.
