Bengaluru, India July 6, 2023 – The Cambridge International School Whitfield Campus held its Investiture Ceremony on July 6, 2023, to inculcate leadership qualities in the students and give them a feel of the functioning of the administrative body. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Nixon Joseph, CEO of CLT India (Children Love-castles Trust), Former President & CEO, SBI Foundation and Fit India Ambassador, Visiting Professor as the chief guest.
The ceremony began with a welcome dance by the girls of grade 6 & 8. The head of school, Ms. Dibha Samal, then gave an address in which she inspired and encouraged the elected leaders to be dutiful and responsible. This was followed by the march past by all the prefects.
The newly elected members of the school prefectorial board were felicitated with sashes and badges by the dignitaries present at the function. The oath taking ceremony was led by Srikar Jayanti, the head boy of TCIS.
The outgoing head boy, head girl, and other prefects shared their experiences and gratitude to the teachers, parents, and management in their speeches. The school choir then sang a group song titled ‘Fearless’, which was highly appreciated by the audience.
In his address, the chief guest, Mr. Nixon Joseph, appreciated the efforts by the school for providing opportunities to the students to take part in activities like these. He also congratulated the newly appointed school prefectorial board for their preparedness to take responsibilities. He asked them to use these opportunities and balance them well with academics to excel in both. He wished well to all the members of the prefectorial board.
The vice chairman of the school, Mr. Saahil Ahmed, also gave a speech in which he wished the student leaders in completing the responsibilities entrusted to them in the year ahead. He also mentioned the efforts taken by the school in promoting children’s democratic and social skills and offered his support in the future. His words of advice were highly motivating for the students.
The event concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Hridhay Gulati, a student of grade 10, followed by the singing of the national anthem.
The investiture ceremony was a successful event that helped to instill leadership qualities in the students and give them a feel of the functioning of the administrative body. The school is proud of its student leaders and wishes them all the best in their new roles.
