Bangalore, May 2nd , 2024: The International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore (IIIT-B) has joined hands with EnAble India to extend scholarships to individuals with disabilities who secure admission in its newly introduced Post Graduate Programme in Digital Product Design and Management (PGP-DPDM).

EnAble India, renowned for its commitment to empowering persons with disabilities, has initiated these scholarships to cover the tuition fees of up to five deserving candidates with disabilities who enroll in PGP-DPDM in 2024.

Expressing his thoughts on the collaboration with IIIT-Bangalore, Dipesh Sutariya, CMD & co-founder of EnAble India, remarked, “By integrating persons with disabilities in product design, we ensure that accessibility becomes an inherent part of the infrastructure rather than an afterthought. Congratulations to IIIT-Bangalore for taking a commendable stride towards inclusivity through the launch of the PGP-DPDM program. Reflecting on the commencement of the new program, Prof. Debabrata Das, Director, IIIT-Bangalore, expressed, “We are thrilled to introduce the PGP-DPDM program, building upon IIIT-Bangalore’s tradition of delivering interdisciplinary excellence with a focus on inclusivity. This endeavor aims to cultivate a deep understanding of the evolving digital technology landscape and its societal impact.”

Prof. Amit Prakash, who oversees the coordination of PGP-DPDM at IIIT-Bangalore, affirmed, “PGP-DPDM warmly welcomes individuals of all abilities, including those with disabilities such as vision and hearing impairments. We advocate for an inclusive learning environment where every individual is empowered to excel and contribute their unique perspectives to our diverse community. We believe this program will empower the next generation of innovators and leaders in digital product design and management.”

The PGP-DPDM program at IIIT-B equips students with comprehensive skills in digital product design and management, blending engineering and social sciences disciplines. Through this program, students will acquire expertise in areas such as data analysis, user research, product management, and innovation, preparing them for diverse roles in the digital product ecosystem.
