BENGALURU, INDIA – July 24, 2026 — The ISACA Bangalore Chapter officially inaugurated the 29th edition of its Annual Karnataka Conference today at the Taj MG Road, Bengaluru. Centered on the timely theme “Fortify the AI Backbone and Agentic AI – Govern, Secure, and Thrive,” the power-packed, two-day event runs through July 25, 2026.

Record-Breaking Industry Engagement

Building on the success of its 2025 conference—which drew 300 delegates—this year’s event has set a new benchmark as the largest in ISACA Bangalore’s history, boasting over 400 registered attendees. The overwhelming response underscores the growing industry demand for robust frameworks around Cyber India and Artificial Intelligence. Senior industry leaders, academicians, and government dignitaries gathered to share actionable insights on mitigating AI risks while leveraging emerging technology opportunities.

The ceremonial inauguration was graced by prominent leaders from government and cybersecurity sectors:

  • Mr. Praveen KN, Zonal Commissioner (South Zone), Bangalore Development Authority (BDA), Government of Karnataka.
  • Mr. Upendra Upadhya, Chief Operating Officer, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, and Director of Analytics at MyGov.
  • Mr. Subramanian J, IT Risk & Compliance Practice at SQ1 Security Technology Private Limited, who served as Special Chief Guest.

The conference was hosted under the leadership of Mr. T R Rajesh, President of the ISACA Bangalore Chapter, and Ms. Lalitha Satheesh, Vice President and Conference Chair, along with other key chapter office bearers.

Welcoming the delegates to this historic gathering, Chapter President Mr. T R Rajesh delivered the Guest of Honour address, emphasizing the critical imperative to secure AI backbones and govern autonomous (Agentic) AI systems.
