Guwahati; 4 April 2022: Small Industries Development Bank of India [SIDBI], the country’s principal financial institution for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) celebrated its 32nd Foundation Day on 02nd April, 2022.
SIDBI Regional Office at Guwahati celebrated the day in a unique manner of distributing laptops to 10 needy students who aspire to become entrepreneurs after completion of their studies. These students were identified by a Nagaon [Assam] based NGO viz. Social Work & Research Centre [SWRC]. The programme was attended by Sh. Habibur Rahman, General Secretary, Smt. Shajeda Khatun, Asstt. Secretary of SWRC along with the students and SIDBI staff.
During the occasion SWRC and students thanked SIDBI for motivation and support in their journey to become Swavalambies [Entrepreneurs]. During the interaction with SIDBI Team, these students got basic inputs on entrepreneurship and resolved their determination to achieve their goal. During the event, SWRC office bearers updated on the progress made under various programes sponsored by SIDBI including setting up of Swavlamban Lab for fish feed making and Skill Development Programmes on bee keeping, manufacturing of cane & bamboo items etc.
SIDBI Teams assured the students to wing their dreams.
