July 26, 2022 St. Ann’s Mat. Hr. Sec School, Thabalpetti, Madhavaram, Chennai – 60 became a part of the international campaign of igniting creative artistic mastery in students through Colorothon, the largest painting festival on 22nd July,2022.
It was a platform where students had a day off from their monotonous academic routine, enjoying the lustre of their thoughts in paper with colours of their dreams and imagination. The entire school with 2500 students actively participated in this event. After a break due to the pandemic situation, the school witnessed the revival of enthusiasm, excitement, happiness, positiveness and self-confidence in students.
The organizer and brain child of Colorothon, Dr.Kishore Joseph, Dr. Patrick Rajkumar, Indian Blind Cricket Coach and Rev.Fr.Solomon Denis SDB, Principal, Don Bosco High School, Assam conducted the program.
Dr. Patrick Rajkumar, the Indian Blind Cricket Coach through his inspiring speech made the students understand the reality of life by saying,
“If you make the right choice in life,
You will be in the right direction.
If you make a small mistake in your choice,
That will be your life.”
He also made the students understand that, “It is hard work that gives success not smart work.”
Dr. Kishore Joseph, the brain child of colorothon said that, ‘Everyday is a learning process, where each of us have to beat our own record.
Summing up the event, it was a day of colors, creativity, joy, frolic, fun and laughter. It was a day of motivation, an eye opener for the students to have an attitude of winning and not defeating, putting their thoughts into action by being in touch with reality and make choice based on experience not expectation.
Expectations always hurt and reduce happiness.
Many of the students’ paintings were selected, acknowledged and appreciated.
St.Ann’s Mat.Hr.Sec.School wished more and more blessings on the organizers and divine purpose of Colorothon to attain the zenith of success.
