Over 36,000 Students Participate in the Country’s Largest Engineering Innovation Event
Bengaluru, India 09 May 2024: India’s biggest engineering student competition, TECHgium®, wrapped up its 7th edition with a record number of participants. Over 36,000 students from 503 institutes battled it out for innovation glory with a Cash prizes of over INR 18 Lakhs for winners .
Focus on Real-World Challenges
This year’s hackathon centered around finding solutions for pressing issues in mobility, sustainability, and high-tech sectors. Participants tackled problems related to drones, medical diagnosis, robotics, and electric vehicles.
B V Raju Institute of Technology Takes Top Prize
The winning team from B V Raju Institute of Technology impressed the judges with their AI-powered situational awareness system for electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) vehicles. Other winners included teams from Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, who presented solutions for oil well monitoring and knee injury detection.

The event provided a platform for students to collaborate with LTTS experts and turn their ideas into functional prototypes.
